Samuel Balmer (Week 1)
Sam has been married to Louise since 1988, and they have three adult children: Victoria, Matthew and James. They just recently became grandparents to baby George. They have been involved in local church leadership, world mission, and youth ministry for over 20 years. In 2006, Sam and Louise left secular employment and now serve the Lord full-time in three main areas of ministry – Bible Educational Services, Fermanagh Christian Fellowship, and Sow2Reap Trust. Sam travels extensively to encourage and train Bible Educational Services partners across the world. Sam is planning to speak on the character of Elijah during our week together, as well as share something of what the Lord is doing through the various ministries he and Louise are involved in.
CLIFF DONALDSON (Week 1)
Cliff is from Oakville, ON and works as a High School teacher in the Special Education Department. He is an elder at Hopedale Bible Chapel, and has three grown children and two grandsons.
STEPHEN VANCE (Week 1)
Stephen was comended to full-time evangelism and Bible teaching in 2001 from Lansing Gospel Hall and Kitchener Gospel Hall. In the years that followed he became involved in Scarborough (Toronto) in a Gospel outreach work to the Chinese immigrant community. This work led to the commencement of a Mandarin-English assembly in Scarborough. Stephen married Cynthia Clark in 2005 and now they serve together as commended workers. They continue to be involved in Gospel outreach and teaching in the Agincourt assembly. They are also reaching out to neighbouring communities in Scarborough through new outreaches. They have run summer Gospel Tent meetings, children’s meetings, home Bible studies and Summer Camps.
SANDY MCEACHERN (Week 1 & 2)
Sandy is a partner in a property development company based in Waterloo, ON. For many years he has been involved in teaching and preaching God’s Word in various locations and situations. Along with several others he was involved in the beginning of Upward Bound. He lives in Waterloo, ON with his wife Louise.
